Melissa Davies

R.C.C., RP (Qualifying)

Melissa is a Clinical Counsellor and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a deep passion for supporting individuals and families. Her journey in counselling began at Island Community Counselling, where she trained in play therapy, laying the foundation for her work with children, youth, adults, and Indigenous communities. Over the past five years, she has provided individual addiction counselling, facilitated DBT groups, and advocated for families, always fostering a compassionate and culturally responsive approach.

Before becoming a counsellor, Melissa ran a successful wellness business in Vernon, BC, offering Reflexology and Reiki services. This experience strengthened her ability to understand how to work with trauma in a holistic way, while providing client-centered care, leading workshops, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.

Grounded in psychology and social justice, Melissa’s approach emphasizes strong therapeutic alliances, meaningful connections, and cultural safety. She is particularly passionate about Indigenous culture as a pathway to healing, integrating respect, trust, and advocacy into her work.
