Earl Blacklock obtained three Masters degrees in leadership, ministry, and counselling and post-graduate training in adult education, public relations, and communications. Earl is accredited as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Instrument (MBTI) practitioner. He offers Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Densitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and therapies arising from Polyvagal Theory.

Earl is also a certified Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) practitioner.

A survivor of trauma and PTSD, Earl’s focus is on clients and couples suffering from the effects of past childhood and adult trauma, enabling and empowering them to move forward with the skills they lost or never obtained. He is the lead therapist on an initiative to prevent PTSD through early intervention following a traumatic event. He also leads our trauma and cognitive disorder psychoeducation initiatives.

Earl’s goal is to make a difference in the lives of those affected by poverty, substance dependence, and traumatic life events, allowing each client to manage their anxiety, develop interpersonal skills, regulate their emotions, and tolerate stressful situations. He serves as an experienced clinician and as the agency’s chief administrative officer.
