Ward Murray, MC, CCC
Ward Murray is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) who works from a person-centered narrative approach, one which takes into account that people do not exist in a vacuum and are products of their environment. Narrative therapy is based on the principle “The person is not the problem, rather the problem is the problem,” an approach which can bring possibility and hope to each client’s sessions. Ward employs a respectful, genuine, and curious exploration and discovery of the client’s personal strengths, beliefs, values, commitments and abilities to discover the unique human that is on her / his own healing journey. The objective of narrative therapy is to use one’s abilities to change their relationship with the issues in their life.
Ward’s practice is informed by experience over ten years of supportive work through addictions centers, verbal and non-verbal care work, international family support (expat and immigration), marginalized individuals, and elementary school-aged children and their families dealing with intergenerational trauma.
