Sarah Shelin, MC

Hi, I’m Sarah. I hold a Master of Counselling and feel privileged to walk with people as they navigate life’s challenges. My hope is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and cared for.My gentle and collaborative approach is grounded in curiosity and connection. I believe that each person brings their own unique strengths, values, experiences, and stories to counselling. Together, we can explore what matters most to you, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and work toward meaningful growth and change. With over ten years of experience supporting children and families, including those with neurodiversity, I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of life. I also have a personal understanding of navigating identity and finding a sense of belonging. I enjoy supporting clients through life transitions, relationships, stress and anxiety, and the exploration of identity.Outside of counselling, I love spending time in nature, staying active, and connecting with the people who matter most to me.I look forward to meeting you and working together to create a counselling experience that feels supportive, collaborative, and meaningful for your journey.

Review from a client - December 2025-Feb 2026:

I wanted to provide some feedback about my time with Sarah. I have worked in the Social Work/Social Services field for decades, I have worked along side therapists and also received therapy from a few different clinicians over the years. I wanted to express my opinion on how awesome Sarah was during our interactions. She was professional, kind, intuitive and had a way of asking the hard questions in a gentle way. The thing I found most impressive about Sarah was her ability to recall information from a session we had weeks and weeks before. Her ability to do this made me feel seen and safe, like she really was listening, like she was authentically in this with me. She was always prepared and focused. She truly helped me process this loss and some family trauma.I just wanted to let you know that my experience with Sarah was one of the best therapeutic experiences I have had to date. No doubt in my mind she will do amazing things with future clients. Thank you for the opportunity to work with Sarah.

Kind regards,

TD
