Monique Malcolm (Student)
Hi! My name is Monique (she/her), and I am a practicum student committed to creating a warm and compassionate space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I believe therapy is collaborative, and I strive to meet each person with curiosity, empathy, and respect for the unique experiences, strengths, and goals you bring to our session.
My therapy approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from evidence-based counselling approaches. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all method to counselling, and I adapt my work thoughtfully to each client’s needs and goals.
I am particularly interested in supporting individuals, children, families and couples navigating trauma, addiction and substance use, grief and loss, major life transitions, depression, and anxiety. I recognize that reaching out for support can take courage, and I strive to create a safe environment where you can explore your emotions at your own pace and without judgment.
I am continuing to develop my clinical skills through practice, supervision, and ongoing learning. I am honoured to walk alongside you through these challenging seasons of life and to support you in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change in your healing journey.
