Brina Levitt (Qualifying)
Hello and welcome.
My name is Brina (she/her), and I am a qualifying counsellor at Island Community Counselling, pursuing my Master of Counselling degree.
Loss, grief, anxiety, depression, anger, and many other challenges are all part of being human. I too have had experiences. I understand that asking for help can be a scary first step, especially if you are in a vulnerable place. I’m here to support you and walk with you in a non-judgmental, safe space (neurodivergent-informed and inclusive 2SLGBTQ+), where self-exploration, learning, and growth can occur.
ALL are welcome.
My approach is trauma-informed, client-centred, multicultural, and collaborative. I use evidence-based practices to help clients improve interpersonal connection, rebuild and repair relationships (with self and others), and support difficult decision-making. I offer in-person or virtual sessions. I also provide a free 15-minute phone consultation. My therapeutic modalities include: Client-Centered, Trauma-Informed, Psychodynamic, Narrative, Brief and Strengths-Based Therapies, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also view healing from a holistic lens and offer mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic (body) work to meet your individual needs. Whatever challenges you may be facing, I am here and welcome anyone navigating overwhelm. You have come this far. Whether it is with me or anyone else that you feel comfortable with, please know you are not alone.
