Barb Aronchick-Zachernuk, MEd, MA, RCC, CCC, RPT-S, CPT-S, BCRPT/S,  Nanaimo

Barb Aronchick-Zachernuk, MEd, MA, RCC, CCC, RPT-S, CPT-S, BCRPT/S has joined our team as our clinical supervisor and as the lead of our new Play Therapy service.

Barb’s therapy orientation is client-centred and collaborative, with a focus on building respectful relationships, strengthening personal boundaries, and encouraging possibilities for growth and change. Drawing often (but not exclusively) from a play-based model, Barb offers an environment that is safe while encouraging hope in the process.

Barb has a passion for ensuring that everyone, no matter how young, has access to professional therapeutic counselling, and she will be overseeing the practicum students in Nanaimo and Duncan as they hone their skills in this vital area. She will also be providing ongoing mentoring and skills-building for all of our staff.
