Aja is completing her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Having worked as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Departments and rural communities for nine years, Aja’s passion for and personal experience with self-discovery and healing trauma has inspired her transition to counselling.
She works with adolescents, adults, and elders who are experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, anger, family and intergenerational trauma, grief, death, and the dying process.
Using holistic, psycho-spiritual, and depth-oriented approaches that blend a wide range of techniques and theoretical orientations, Aja provides support in navigating difficult emotions and life experiences, finding a greater sense of meaning and purpose, exploring unconscious and wounded parts of oneself, and building inner resiliency. Aja provides a safe, compassionate, and supportive space for others to embark on a journey of self-inquiry, personal growth, healing, and change.
In her personal life, Aja is a proud dog mom, spends time surfing and hiking, has a dedicated yoga and meditation practice, and enjoys a good laugh.
